Church Blessing

Last night was a beautiful moment in the life of our community. After services at CBC, everyone in attendance drove to 1302 Washington to get a full tour of the new facility and to pray over each room as a community. This is a tradition we've adopted as a church when people get new houses (or the church buys a new building). The community meets at the new location and prays through each specific room.

Here's a prayer for our foyer: "God, we ask that you bless this room in our new church. We pray that people would feel welcomed as they enter through these doors; that they would experience an honest, loving, and robust community of Christ-followers each time they visit. We pray that members would be reminded of their covenant with You as they enter this church and would be reminded of their calling as missionaries as they exit into the neighborhood. We pray that this room would be full of the life that originates from and points to Your eternal promises. We thank you for this room knowing that You will use it as a tool to bring people to Yourself. And we thank you for this church. We pray in Jesus' name. Amen."

Please feel free to leave your own prayers and blessings in the comments. Thank you.

Christ Church is selling the house that came with the church property. The house is located at 706 Durden in Brenham and is for sale to be moved. Once the house is moved, the lot will be used as a greenspace for the church and neighborhood with playground for the kids, outdoor seating for cookouts, etc.

Please pass this information on to anyone you know who may be interested. Email us at info@christchurchbrenham.org if you have any further questions.

You can also look here for more info: TXLS.

Also check out Houston's Craigslist.

The Day After Closing

These were taken on Wednesday, as soon as the power was turned on after closing (which was on Tuesday). You can see a significant improvement compared to the first pics (especially in the sanctuary). Many more pics to come.

The First Pictures

These are a few pics from two years ago when several friends and I first saw the building and noticed it was for sale. Brandi and I still lived in Houston at the time, didn't know anyone at the church (there was no church) and thought our church wouldn't have its own building for another ten years.
